Director, Advanced Interface Technologies

About the role

Synopsys is seeking a Director of Advanced Interface Technologies to lead its analog and mixed‑signal teams. The role focuses on shaping the roadmap for next‑generation high‑speed interfaces such as PCIe Gen7/Gen8, SerDes, and related IP blocks, while driving AI‑assisted design methodologies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow analog/mixed‑signal design groups across multiple sites, covering PCIe, SerDes, PLLs, CDRs, ADC/DAC and power‑management IP.
• Define and own the technical roadmap for high‑speed interface technologies and AI‑driven design flows.
• Review architectures, evaluate performance trade‑offs, and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams (layout, verification, CAD, methodology, product engineering) to remove bottlenecks and ensure timely delivery.
• Engage with strategic customers, conduct technical reviews, and translate requirements into engineering solutions.
• Manage strategic programs from concept through deployment, including resource planning and risk management.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in analog and mixed‑signal design, with a proven track record of delivering high‑speed silicon.
• Demonstrated leadership of large engineering teams and ability to mentor senior engineers.
• Strong influence across organizations and ability to drive cross‑functional collaboration.
• Excellent communication skills for customer engagements and internal alignment.
