Director of Logistics

About the role

Hungry Minds is seeking a hands‑on Director of Logistics to own and scale its global supply chain. You will be responsible for moving products from Chinese factories to customers worldwide, ensuring a reliable, cost‑efficient network across freight, warehousing, 3PLs and fulfillment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a global logistics strategy that supports rapid growth.
• Manage end‑to‑end product flow from China to international warehouses and end‑customers.
• Oversee international freight (ocean, air, rail, express) and negotiate rates with carriers and 3PL partners.
• Build and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, warehouses, and fulfillment providers.
• Optimize shipping routes, lead times, and logistics costs while monitoring inventory levels.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Production, Finance, Sales and Operations to align supply‑chain activities.
• Establish forecasting, replenishment processes and KPI reporting.
• Resolve escalations related to delayed shipments, customs, or partner performance.
• Identify automation opportunities and design scalable logistics infrastructure.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain or international operations.
• Proven track record with physical products and DTC e‑commerce businesses.
• Extensive experience working with Chinese manufacturers and managing China‑to‑US/Europe shipments.
• Strong negotiation skills with logistics providers.
• Deep understanding of inventory management, demand planning and customs regulations.
