Financial Analyst (Mid-level)

About the role

Cognaize is seeking a mid‑level Financial Analyst to support its AI‑driven document automation platform for the financial sector. The role involves financial spreading, testing AI applications and ensuring compliance with client accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and process financial statements—including balance sheets, income statements, cash‑flow statements and statements of changes in equity—for financial spreading.
• Compare client accounting guidelines with current international accounting standards.
• Coordinate client requests with internal departments and communicate findings clearly.
• Test internally developed AI applications to verify accuracy and functionality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Basic knowledge of programming and advanced Excel usage (a plus).
• Strong understanding of international accounting standards.
• Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal abilities.
• Effective time‑management and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
