Lead Platform Engineer / DevOps (AWS) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Platform Engineer/DevOps specialist with deep AWS expertise to own and evolve our EKS‑based cloud platform. The role is fully remote within Armenia, allowing you to work from home or our offices in Yerevan or Gyumri while collaborating with global teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage EKS clusters and related automation across the global Cloud Hosting team.
• Develop high‑quality, stable code for automation and internal customer‑facing APIs.
• Participate in on‑call support rota (one week per 2‑3 months) with additional bonus.
• Write and publish high‑level designs and developer documentation.
• Plan releases, workload, and priorities in a bottom‑up manner.
• Design for privacy, security, compliance, high availability, performance, and resilience.
• Accelerate feature delivery and bug fixes for customers.
• Reduce engineering effort for provisioning, deploying, configuring, updating, and repairing cloud‑based applications, games, or services.
• Collaborate with multiple global teams to improve cloud infrastructure and developer experience.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or DevOps, preferably in AWS or GCP environments.
• Strong communication skills and client‑centric attitude.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call support rota.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
