National Consultant for Care Economy Landscape Analysis

About the role
UN Women is seeking a National Consultant to lead the review, validation and further development of a national landscape analysis of the care economy in Armenia. The consultant will work closely with the WEESC Project Analyst and UN Women’s programme staff to ensure the analysis is accurate, evidence‑based and ready to inform gender‑responsive policies.
Key responsibilities
- Assess the provided inception report, desk review summary, annotated bibliography, stakeholder mapping, policy and legal mapping, gap analysis and draft analysis for accuracy, completeness and internal consistency.
- Verify that all findings are supported by the underlying evidence and flag any issues that require clarification or additional research.
- Consolidate and strengthen the evidence base, address identified gaps or inconsistencies, and produce a comprehensive overview of care‑related data, policies, services and institutional arrangements at both rural and urban levels.
- Identify needs and opportunities for strengthening Armenia’s care system and formulate recommendations for targeted, gender‑responsive interventions.
- Collaborate with UN Women’s programme specialists and operational staff to ensure the final analysis aligns with the objectives of the Women’s Economic Empowerment in the South Caucasus (WEESC) project.
