Senior Analog & Mixed‑Signal Design Engineer

About the role

Synopsys is seeking a senior engineer to lead the design of advanced analog and mixed‑signal circuits from concept through production. You will work closely with layout, digital, validation and product teams to deliver silicon that meets performance, power, area and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and development of analog/mixed‑signal blocks, from architecture proposals to tape‑out and silicon bring‑up.
• Run circuit simulations and optimizations using SPICE, Spectre and related tools.
• Own validation plans, silicon debug, lab characterization and design reviews.
• Partner with layout engineers to ensure manufacturability and robustness.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive improvements in design methodologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics or related field.
• 2‑3 years of hands‑on analog or mixed‑signal IC design experience.
• Strong ability to translate performance specs into transistor‑level implementations.
• Proactive problem‑solver who writes and executes validation plans.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SPICE, Spectre or equivalent circuit simulators.
• Experience in silicon debug, characterization and lab equipment use.
• Knowledge of high‑speed interfaces (MIPI C‑PHY/D‑PHY, USB) and analog blocks such as data converters, regulators, bandgap references.
• Familiarity with deep‑submicron CMOS processes.
• Use of AI tools for circuit design and verification.
