Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to expand the Glana platform, a digital hospitality solution that powers real-time billing, ordering and loyalty features for restaurants. You will design, build and ship end-to-end backend services, ensuring reliability and correctness of financial transactions at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend systems from database schema to production deployment.
• Integrate third-party APIs such as POS, payment providers, banks and fiscal services, handling webhooks, retries and idempotency.
• Maintain multi-tenant architecture with strict data isolation and consistency.
• Own features end-to-end, collaborating with frontend teams when needed.
• Ensure financial data is accurate and reliable across all services.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience building and operating backend systems in production.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL, including schema design, transactions, concurrency and migrations on live databases.
• Proven experience integrating external APIs with robust error handling.
• Understanding of multi-tenant architecture and a “money must be correct” mindset.
• Ability to own a feature from concept to delivery and communicate clearly with product teams.
