Senior Data Engineer / Apache Airflow Specialist

About the role

Intetics Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in Apache Airflow to join its fully remote, distributed team. The role focuses on building and optimizing large‑scale ETL workflows, data indexing, and performance tuning for a data‑driven project.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex Airflow DAGs for ETL and data‑processing pipelines.
• Write and optimize Python‑based ETL scripts, integrating with Flask APIs when required.
• Implement and fine‑tune Elasticsearch indexing and search performance.
• Perform Unix/Linux scripting for automation, monitoring, and operational tasks.
• Manage large‑scale data processing on Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
• Create and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment stages.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineers to ensure scalability, reliability, and data quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience orchestrating Apache Airflow DAGs.
• At least 5 years of Python development, preferably with ETL focus.
• 3 + years of experience with Elasticsearch, Unix/Linux, and Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in GitLab pipeline creation and maintenance.
• Advanced English communication skills and a technical degree.
