Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer (Remote, Armenia)

About the role

We are looking for experienced Senior DevOps/Platform Engineers to join our client’s Platform Operations & Engineering team. The role focuses on modernising Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems deployed at edge locations, while working fully remotely from anywhere in Armenia.

Key responsibilities

• Implement infrastructure enhancements across edge sites using Oracle Linux, Docker, Kubernetes (K8s/K3s), Helm, Kustomize and Ansible.
• Deploy and maintain containerised applications in distributed edge environments.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub, GitHub Actions and ArgoCD, applying GitOps practices.
• Automate testing, security scanning and deployment processes.
• Configure observability stack – FluentBit, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry and Grafana – and create dashboards, alerts and incident‑response support.
• Develop platform tools, scripts and automation in Bash and Python.
• Collaborate with Systems Architects and development teams to translate designs into working solutions and participate in agile ceremonies.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on Linux administration (Oracle Linux preferred), Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions and ArgoCD, and GitOps workflows.
• Proven knowledge of observability tools such as FluentBit, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry and Grafana.
• Solid scripting skills in Bash and Python.
• Understanding of edge computing, high‑availability, disaster‑recovery and security best practices.
• Retail/POS environment experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor cross‑functional agile teams.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
