Senior Editorial Designer

About the role

SiGMA is seeking a highly experienced Senior Editorial Designer to lead the design and production of its flagship magazine, event guides, and other long‑form editorial publications. The role is print‑focused, requiring deep knowledge of pre‑press, print specifications, and hands‑on coordination with printers and external vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and layout of SiGMA Magazine, event guides, and editorial print publications.
• Manage projects from concept development and pagination to final print delivery.
• Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and events teams to translate content into strong visual narratives.
• Prepare and deliver print‑ready files, ensuring accuracy of specs, colour, and pre‑press requirements.
• Coordinate directly with printers and production vendors, managing timelines, proofs, and final outputs.
• Maintain editorial design systems across typography, grids, and layouts.
• Oversee production schedules, meet deadlines, review proofs, and sign off on final printed materials.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in editorial or print design, preferably in magazines or large‑scale publications.
• Proven track record managing end‑to‑end print workflows.
• Established network of printers and production vendors.
• Strong eye for typography, layout, and editorial storytelling.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign.
