Senior QA Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join Buymie’s on‑site team. In this role you will ensure the quality, reliability and performance of our web, backend and mobile products, working closely with product, engineering and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Create, review, and maintain comprehensive test cases based on product requirements, specifications, and release plans.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and end‑to‑end testing to validate product quality.
• Monitor and report testing progress against project milestones, identifying risks and proposing mitigation plans.
• Support planning, creation, and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business teams.
• Investigate QA failures and contribute to root cause analysis when required.
• Collaborate with third‑party vendors and external partners involved in testing and delivery.
• Work effectively in both Waterfall and Agile/Scrum environments, ensuring quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to ensure user stories are well‑defined, groomed, and include clear, testable acceptance criteria.
• Prepare and maintain QA documentation, including test strategies, test plans, test cases, execution reports, and quality status reports.
• Facilitate internal and external quality review meetings and communicate testing progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve QA processes, testing methodologies, and overall product quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of QA principles, testing methodologies, techniques, and tools.
• Extensive experience testing web applications, backend systems, and mobile applications.
• Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience in operational testing with a solid understanding of production environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to design positive, negative, boundary, and edge‑case scenarios.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and release planning.
