Senior Staff Software Engineer – Remote

About the role

Replika is looking for a senior‑level software engineer to join a small, high‑impact team that works directly with the CEO. You will shape products that reach tens of millions of users, turning vague ideas into shipped features quickly while maintaining a strong focus on user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Own features from concept through production, delivering end‑to‑end solutions that users interact with.
• Collaborate directly with the CEO to decide what gets built and why.
• Translate ambiguous ideas into concrete implementations without waiting for every detail.
• Critically evaluate product requirement documents (PRDs) and advocate for realistic, value‑driven versions.
• Communicate across the organization, unblock teammates, and avoid siloed work.
• Introduce new tools and processes that improve efficiency and product quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience shipping consumer‑facing products to real users.
• Track record of delivering complex features end‑to‑end, not just incremental tweaks.
• Background in founding or early‑stage startups, or similar high‑autonomy environments.
• Passion for coding and a pragmatic, “agentic” engineering mindset.
• Strong design intuition and the ability to spot UX issues early.
• First‑principles thinking and focus on shipping value over technical vanity.
• Fluent English with the ability to write and argue about specifications clearly.
• Positive, low‑maintenance attitude and the ability to take ownership.
