Commercial & Financial Analyst

About the role

Equiti is seeking a detail‑oriented Commercial & Financial Analyst to join its Data department in Yerevan, Armenia. You will be responsible for delivering accurate commercial and financial reporting, supporting finance processes, and providing actionable insights to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Own recurring commercial and financial reporting, including sales targets vs. delivery, revenue, cost and margin analysis built on certified semantic models.
• Support the automated finance end‑of‑quarter process by validating outputs against certified definitions and reducing manual work.
• Analyze commercial performance across products, regions and client segments, identifying trends, risks and opportunities and quantifying their impact.
• Partner with Sales management to translate targets and incentive logic into clear, certified metrics.
• Collaborate with Finance on cost allocation, margin methodology and group reporting definitions.
• Build clear Power BI reports and analyses for executive, regional and sales‑management audiences.
• Leverage AI‑assisted tools to accelerate analysis and draft commentary while ensuring final insight accuracy.
• Maintain rigorous documentation of metric definitions and assumptions, contributing to the group’s single source of truth.
• Respond to ad‑hoc commercial and financial queries from leadership with fast, well‑founded analysis.

Required profile

• Strong commercial and financial acumen, comfortable with P&L structures, revenue drivers, unit economics and margin analysis.
• Analytical rigor when working with large datasets and complex business logic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to turn analysis into a clear narrative for senior audiences.
• Proven stakeholder management skills across Sales, Finance and executive teams.
• High attention to detail and ownership of number accuracy.
• Effective, critical use of AI assistants for analysis and drafting.

Required skills

• 4+ years of commercial experience in BI development or analytics with hands‑on Power BI delivery.
• Data modelling experience with Tabular models and advanced DAX.
• Strong MS SQL Server and T‑SQL expertise.
• Experience with SSIS or modern pipeline tooling such as Azure Data Factory or Fabric pipelines.
• Proficiency with AI‑assisted analysis tools.
