Maintenance Technician – Guest Services

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to support our guests by handling repair requests and ensuring the smooth operation of all building systems. The role combines hands‑on technical work with excellent guest communication in a hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate solutions promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical‑room systems, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines; carry necessary equipment such as tools and radios.
• Identify, locate, and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and log daily activities for shift handovers.
• Execute surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and clean work areas thoroughly.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, plumbing (toilet plunging, drain unclogging), and electrical components (lamps, switches, outlets, internet devices).
• Program TVs, perform housekeeping‑related inventory duties, and use Lockout/Tagout procedures before work.
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies; report hazards and store flammable materials properly.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, and energy‑conservation systems.
• Strong communication skills to interact with guests and team members.
• Physical ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb and perform manual tasks safely.
• Commitment to safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and personal protective equipment.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality, and a customer‑service mindset.
