National Director – Lead World Vision Armenia

About the role

World Vision Armenia is seeking a visionary National Director to steer its mission of improving the lives of vulnerable children across the country. The role combines strategic leadership, operational oversight, and external representation to ensure the organization’s impact and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the strategic direction of World Vision Armenia, overseeing overall performance and day‑to‑day operations.
• Ensure operational and financial sustainability through organizational development, diversified funding, risk management and compliance.
• Lead the Senior Leadership Team and staff, aligning them with the Global Partnership Strategy and organizational goals.
• Represent World Vision to donors, government agencies, churches, NGOs and other partners, acting under a Power of Attorney.
• Provide high‑quality leadership during organizational challenges, demonstrating Christian values and personal integrity.
• Oversee the Branch and Foundation to maximize child‑well‑being impact while maintaining financial viability and policy compliance.

Required profile

• 10+ years senior leadership experience in international NGOs focused on transformational development.
• Proven track record in grant acquisition and management.
• Strong knowledge of the humanitarian sector and donor community.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in Armenian and English.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Experience in program design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, reporting and training facilitation.
