IT Support Specialist – Technical Support for Global Team

About the role

Join JetBrains' IT department and provide hands‑on technical support to a global workforce of 1,000+ employees. You will work with a diverse set of hardware and software platforms, ensuring smooth daily operations across multiple offices.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑line technical assistance to all JetBrains staff, both on‑site and remotely.
• Set up, repair, upgrade, and modernise desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, phones, and video‑conferencing equipment.
• Evaluate hardware options and recommend suitable solutions for specific use cases.
• Maintain and troubleshoot the company’s private VMware Cloud, as well as public AWS and Azure virtual machines.
• Assist users with operating‑system issues on Windows, Linux and macOS without resorting to full reinstallations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an IT Helpdesk or desktop support role.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset and ability to communicate patiently with non‑technical users.
• Comfortable disassembling and repairing computers, including soldering damaged wires.
• Team‑oriented, open to diverse opinions and eager to share knowledge.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.

Required skills

• Windows, Linux and macOS operating systems.
• VMware virtualization platform.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
• Fundamental networking concepts and Internet connectivity.
• Hardware repair and soldering techniques.
