Product Owner Booster

About the role

ChillBase studio is an independent gaming studio developing the live F2P title One State, a complex player‑driven economy game. The company is looking for a Product Owner Booster to shape and improve the first‑time user experience (FTUE) and drive early player activation and retention.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the FTUE, including onboarding flows, tutorials, and the first‑session experience.
• Implement gameplay and meta‑systems that boost new‑player activation and long‑term retention.
• Analyze early‑stage user behavior, identify drop‑offs and friction points, and propose growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with analysts on funnel analysis, cohort studies, and A/B testing.
• Own FTUE‑related KPIs such as activation rate, D1/D3 retention, and tutorial completion.
• Prioritize and manage the backlog for the onboarding/Booster stream.
• Run CustDev sessions, playtests, and UX research to continuously improve the first‑user experience.
• Contribute to the long‑term vision of the Booster and onboarding direction.

Required profile

• Experience working on free‑to‑play (mid‑core or hardcore) projects.
• Deep expertise in early funnel optimization (activation, onboarding, early retention D1/D3/D7).
• Proven track record of improving FTUE metrics such as activation rate and tutorial completion.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration with Marketing, Monetization, and LiveOps teams.
• Analytical mindset with ability to define tasks, interpret data, and drive product decisions.
• Ability to formulate clear requirements for research and analytical dashboards.
• Solid understanding of analytics and a data‑driven approach.
• Native Russian language proficiency.

Required skills

• SQL (basic query writing).
• Python (basic scripting for data queries).
