Maintenance Technician

About the role

A full-time, non-management maintenance position at a Marriott Executive Apartments property in Tsaghkadzor, Armenia. The role responds to guest repair requests, carries out preventive maintenance and basic repairs, and keeps the property running smoothly while following safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve guest repair requests, communicating clearly with guests and customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication, and visually inspect tools, equipment and machines.
• Carry equipment such as tools and radios, and identify, locate and operate shut-off valves and utility shut-offs.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Report daily activities and problems to other shifts through approved communication channels.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, and replace light bulbs and A/C filters, then clean up the work area.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair equipment, plumbing (plunge toilets, unclog drains), electrical components, lamps, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, and replace switches and outlets.
• Program TVs, do general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory, and use the Lockout/Tagout system before any maintenance work.
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping and sprinkler systems.
• Enter air handler schedules and make temperature changes on a computer.
• Welcome guests, assist people with disabilities, and follow company safety, security and quality policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation and painting preferred.
• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Driver's license required.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge or ability to learn air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation and building basics.
• Basic computer skills, including entering air handler schedules and changing temperatures.
