Project Coordinator

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the implementation of migration‑related activities in Armenia. Reporting to the Head of Office, the incumbent will work closely with headquarters units and administrative centres to ensure project objectives are met.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor project activities in line with IOM’s strategic priorities.
• Liaise with governmental authorities, UN agencies, NGOs and other stakeholders to facilitate project implementation.
• Prepare reports, documentation and updates for both internal and external partners.
• Support the planning, budgeting and logistical arrangements for field operations.
• Assist in capacity‑building initiatives related to border governance and security.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or a related field, with at least five years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma with seven years of experience.
• Proven experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons or victims of trafficking.
• Experience collaborating with governmental bodies, UN agencies and NGOs.
• Familiarity with multi‑cultural environments and international humanitarian settings.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of migration‑related issues.
• Strong understanding of border governance, border security and institutional capacity development.
• Knowledge of EU and Frontex frameworks.
