Senior Data Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to own and evolve our data infrastructure. In this role you will ensure data accuracy, performance and reliability while supporting fast‑moving product and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, validate and maintain data from multiple sources, guaranteeing its accuracy.
• Optimize and restructure MySQL databases for efficiency, scalability and mission‑critical query performance, especially for Evidence data.
• Design, develop and maintain data models, data warehouses and ETL pipelines handling high‑volume, frequently updating data.
• Implement and manage database sharding strategies to support growth.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and DevOps teams to ensure seamless data flow and compliance with security policies.
• Monitor and tune query performance, applying best practices for performance tuning.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with complex database structures and MySQL.
• Strong background in Big Data technologies and large‑scale data processing.
• Hands‑on experience building data models, warehouses and ETL pipelines.
• Proven ability to manage frequently updating data systems and optimize queries.
• Solid knowledge of AWS services, Redis and IAM roles/permissions.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced environment.
