Senior Go Engineer (Payment Gateway Solutions)

About the role

COLIBRIX ONE is building AI‑powered payment technologies for PSPs, EMIs and neobanks across the EU and the UK. As a Senior Go Engineer you will design and develop core services of our real‑time payment gateway, ensuring stability, security and high performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Go‑based microservices for transaction routing, encryption, tokenisation and fraud checks.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, API designs and data models.
• Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, PSD2 and other security standards.
• Analyse performance bottlenecks, optimise concurrency and improve data‑storage efficiency.
• Participate in architecture decisions on service boundaries, communication patterns, load balancing and streaming queues.
• Write maintainable, testable code with unit and integration test coverage.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor team members.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing large‑scale, high‑availability backend systems in Go.
• Strong understanding of microservice architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with financial or payment processing domains is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
