Senior Manager, Software Engineering

About the role

ServiceTitan is looking for a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead high‑impact teams that build and operate scalable, cross‑domain systems. The role combines people leadership with deep technical judgment, driving product excellence while navigating ambiguity and rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute professional development plans for engineers and managers, providing coaching, feedback, and mentorship.
• Build and sustain a culture of ownership, trust, psychological safety, and continuous improvement.
• Recruit, hire, and retain top engineering talent in partnership with recruiting.
• Guide architecture, design, and evolution of reliable, maintainable systems that span multiple services and product domains.
• Ensure engineering quality standards, including reliability, performance, security, and operational excellence.
• Balance short‑term delivery with long‑term technical health, managing technical debt and platform evolution.
• Own delivery outcomes across discovery, design, implementation, and production, creating clear roadmaps aligned with business goals.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, and other Engineering teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions and resolve cross‑team dependencies.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams at a senior level.
• Strong people‑management skills with a track record of coaching and developing technical leaders.
• Deep technical judgment and ability to dive into architecture discussions and complex trade‑offs.
• Comfort operating in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments while maintaining clarity and accountability.
