Software Engineer

About the role

Siemens EDA is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Yerevan team, focusing on test (DFT), test pattern generation, and fault analysis for advanced semiconductor design. You will develop automation solutions that streamline DFT workflows and contribute to cutting‑edge 2.5D/3D System‑in‑Package design.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable automation tools for DFT workflows using Python, Tcl/Tk, Bash and other scripting languages.
• Design and implement test pattern generation, fault analysis, and DFT methodologies for sophisticated technology nodes.
• Continuously improve DFT methodologies to reduce test cost, increase fault coverage and enhance test time efficiency.
• Collaborate with CAD, DFT and design teams to deliver integrated solutions aligned with IEEE standards (1149.x, 1500, 1687, 1838).
• Lead build data and EDA infrastructure setup, including tool installation and server environment configuration on Linux and Windows platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or a Master’s degree) with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong software development background with proven proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Experience with Tcl/Tk and Shell/Bash scripting.
• Solid understanding of data structures, protocols and software development in Linux and Windows environments.
• Deep knowledge of ASIC DFT methodologies such as Scan, MBIST and ATPG.
• Ability to work independently and within multi‑functional teams, with strong written and verbal English communication skills.
