Vue.js Tech Lead

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Frontend Tech Lead to shape the architecture, performance, and developer experience of our multi‑app e‑commerce platform. You will head a dedicated Platform team of senior engineers, delivering shared UI libraries, CLI tools, core SSR/Nuxt capabilities, and AI‑assisted workflows that serve eight distinct application teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of senior UI engineers, conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and unblock delivery across cross‑functional streams.
• Design and maintain scalable, accessible shared UI components and core platform utilities used by multiple application teams.
• Drive SSR/hydration strategies, bundle optimizations, and runtime performance to meet Core Web Vitals targets.
• Build internal CLI tools, automated scaffolding, and modern AI‑assisted engineering workflows to improve developer experience.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, xAPI engineers, and Tech Managers to estimate work, mitigate technical risks, and guide release trains.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading senior frontend engineers in a multi‑app, multi‑brand environment.
• Strong track record designing shared component libraries and enforcing design‑system patterns.
• Hands‑on expertise with performance optimisation, accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2), and modern tooling.
• Ability to work across teams, mentor developers, and drive architectural decisions.

Required skills

• Vue 3 (Composition API, custom composables, reactivity)
• Nuxt (SSR lifecycle, Nitro engine, Pinia)
• Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS) optimisation
• WCAG 2.2 compliance, semantic HTML, screen‑reader accessibility
• CLI/build tooling, AI‑assisted development workflows
• Familiarity with Java, Spring Boot or BFF architectures
