AI/ML Research Scientist

About the role

We are seeking an AI/ML Research Scientist to lead innovative research at the intersection of artificial intelligence and semiconductor design. You will develop novel machine‑learning approaches to tackle complex optimization problems, turning cutting‑edge ideas into practical solutions that enhance chip performance, efficiency, and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct cutting‑edge research applying machine learning to chip design and optimization challenges.
• Design and implement algorithms using graph neural networks, diffusion models, transformers, and other advanced ML architectures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineers and researchers to integrate research outcomes into real‑world EDA tools.
• Publish findings in top‑tier conferences and journals.
• Prototype, test, and validate new approaches with modern ML frameworks.
• Contribute to open‑source or commercial EDA tool development.

Required profile

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
• At least 1 year of research experience in AI/ML applied to hardware or semiconductor domains.
• Minimum one publication in a leading machine‑learning conference (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, etc.).
• Strong programming expertise in Python and C++.
• Hands‑on experience with modern ML architectures such as transformers, graph neural networks, and diffusion models.
