Commercial Director

About the role

The Commercial Director will lead the company’s commercial strategy, overseeing sales, marketing, business development and customer success to drive revenue growth and market expansion. Reporting directly to the CEO, this senior leader will shape long‑term profitability and build strong customer and partner relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy aligned with revenue targets and market share goals.
• Set clear KPIs, revenue targets and milestones for sales, marketing, business development and customer success teams.
• Lead the sales function, manage the pipeline, and negotiate high‑value deals and strategic partnerships.
• Direct marketing initiatives, ensuring demand generation, brand growth and seamless integration with sales objectives.
• Collaborate with customer success to improve retention, upsell and cross‑sell opportunities, and increase customer lifetime value.
• Identify and secure new strategic partnerships and alliances to expand the company’s market presence.
• Oversee budgeting, financial planning and ROI analysis for all commercial activities.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to adapt the revenue model and go‑to‑market strategies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Economics or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in sales, marketing or business development, with at least 5 years in senior commercial leadership roles.
• Proven track record of driving revenue growth in retail, e‑commerce, telecom or similar sectors.
• Strong leadership, team‑building and mentorship abilities.
• Data‑driven decision‑making, excellent negotiation and communication skills.
