About the role
The Cook Assistant supports kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food quality and safety. This full‑time position works on‑site at the Marriott location on Amiryan Street.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, portion, chop, store, and wash fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Monitor appliance and food temperatures, and ensure correct portion sizes and garnish.
- Set up, clean, and break down work stations, including washing and disinfecting tools, knives, and equipment.
- Serve food in proper portions and receptacles, and assist the chef during busy periods.
- Report any product that does not meet specifications and notify management of maintenance or safety issues.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- No prior related work experience required.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No specific license or certification required.
