Data Platform SRE / Observability Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SRE/Observability Engineer to design and operate end‑to‑end monitoring for our data platform infrastructure, including Kubernetes, Trino, databases and big‑data technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a unified observability framework covering Trino, Kubernetes, databases and Apache Ozone/Hadoop.
• Implement automatic collection of DORA metrics and build high‑level health dashboards.
• Audit existing metrics, close monitoring gaps in K8s, databases and distributed storage.
• Optimize Alertmanager rules to provide proactive alerting and reduce incident impact.
• Act as the go‑to expert for monitoring, relieving team leads from routine dashboard and alert configuration tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of DevOps/SRE experience and 5 years in IT.
• Strong focus on reliability engineering rather than feature development.
• Hands‑on experience with SLI/SLO/SLA concepts, error budgets and DORA metric collection.
• Ability to translate complex system behavior and logs into actionable metrics.

Required skills

• Prometheus stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager) and advanced PromQL.
• Kubernetes container orchestration.
• Monitoring of databases, Trino, Hadoop and Apache Ozone.
• Programming knowledge in Python; Go or JavaScript a plus.
