About the role

The Financial Monitoring Service at AyDi Bank is seeking a senior specialist to lead sanctions compliance efforts. The role involves monitoring client relationships, assessing risks, and ensuring all transactions comply with international sanction regimes.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor bank customers, their business relationships, and transaction activities.
• Assess, review, and manage client risk profiles.
• Conduct analyses to detect suspicious transactions or relationships and document findings.
• Approve, reject, suspend, or freeze transactions and business relationships as required.
• Investigate signals related to economic sanctions and prevent circumvention attempts.
• Track developments in sanctions imposed by international bodies and perform related research.
• Apply knowledge of regulations and internal legal acts of the bank.
• Execute tasks assigned by immediate supervisor and other duties defined by internal legal frameworks.

Required profile

• Higher education degree.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in the financial sector.
• Knowledge of OFAC, EU, UN, and UK HMT sanctions is a plus.
• Familiarity with banking products, services, and legislation.
• Computer literacy and strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work accurately, responsibly, and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Willingness to mentor new colleagues and respond quickly to changes.
