Head of Data Science Division

About the role

The Head of Data Science Division leads the end‑to‑end development, implementation and monitoring of AI, machine learning and deep learning models that support real‑time mathematical modeling for lending, behavioral analysis, investment decisions and other banking applications.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the design, building, improvement and deployment of ML/DL models.
• Organise and manage data‑working processes, ensuring high‑quality inputs for modelling.
• Support model testing, validation and production implementation.
• Maintain continuous adoption of state‑of‑the‑art AI/ML algorithms, tools and optimisation techniques.
• Lead the design, regulation and approval workflow for model creation and testing environments.
• Conduct code reviews, optimise ML application code and drive continuous process improvement.
• Collaborate with product teams and IT units to integrate models into business solutions.
• Document the full modelling lifecycle and keep internal regulations and model overviews up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• University degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Modelling, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in large‑scale AI/ML projects.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• High sense of responsibility and commitment to delivering reliable models.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• SQL and Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
• Deep knowledge of AI/ML models and algorithms.
• Experience with Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques.
