Junior Accountant

About the role

AMTJ LLC is seeking a responsible and detail‑oriented Junior Accountant to join its Finance team in Yerevan. This position offers a solid foundation in accounting practices and the chance to gradually take on broader financial responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Record and process daily accounting transactions in line with policies and legislation.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable and receivable records.
• Process invoices, primary accounting documents, acts, and other financial paperwork.
• Handle bank and cash transactions and ensure proper accounting.
• Monitor settlements with suppliers, customers, and other counterparties.
• Prepare and maintain accounting registers and supporting documentation.
• Perform account reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and support resolution.
• Participate in monthly and annual closing processes.
• Prepare analytical information and internal financial reports for management.
• Assist in the preparation of tax and statutory reports.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Assist with payroll‑related accounting processes and inventory/fixed‑asset accounting.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant accounting experience.
• Knowledge of Armenian tax and accounting legislation.
• Ability to work with large volumes of information and meet deadlines.
• Responsibility, accuracy, and a structured approach to work.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Practical experience with accounting software; knowledge of 1C is an advantage.
• Good command of MS Excel.
• Understanding of Armenian tax and accounting legislation.
