Junior AI/ML Engineer (GenAI, AWS)

About the role

Provectus is looking for a proactive Junior AI/ML Engineer to join a senior pod working on generative AI solutions for enterprise clients. You will collaborate with senior AI engineers and full‑stack developers to build Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) systems and integrate them into production‑grade AWS services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and contribute to RAG components under senior guidance, gradually increasing autonomy.
• Write tests, evaluation harnesses, and production code across AI, backend services, and data pipelines.
• Integrate AI components into RESTful APIs and support deployment to AWS using containers and CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and client handover materials.
• Participate in technical discussions and architectural decisions, supporting model evaluation and failure‑mode analysis.

Required profile

• Proactive, self‑directed mindset with strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous situations and collaborating across distributed, multicultural teams.
• Fluent English (B2+).

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Practical AWS experience (Lambda, S3, ECS, containers, CI/CD).
• Familiarity with LLM APIs (Anthropic, AWS Bedrock, OpenAI) and model monitoring concepts.
• Exposure to evaluation of non‑deterministic AI systems and cost/latency trade‑offs.
