About the role
HayPass is seeking a Network Administrator to design, implement, monitor, and secure its network infrastructure across on‑premises, virtualized, and containerized environments. The role focuses on high availability, scalability, and compliance with ISO/IEC 27001 standards while supporting daily operations and strategic projects.
Key responsibilities
- Set up, configure, and manage VLANs, subnets, routers, and firewalls.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues including DNS, DHCP, IP routing, and VPN configurations.
- Administer network security measures such as firewalls, ACLs, and NAT.
- Monitor performance and availability using Nagios, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Implement network zoning and segmentation for multi‑tier applications.
- Conduct regular assessments, vulnerability scans, and hardening activities.
- Maintain data‑center cabling, rack layouts, and physical infrastructure.
- Document configurations, diagrams, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to optimise network performance.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience in network administration, routing, and switching.
- Strong knowledge of multi‑tier architectures and ISO/IEC 27001 security standards.
Required skills
- Routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP (static and dynamic).
- Switching: VLANs, trunking, STP, RSTP.
- DNS, DHCP, IP routing, VPN (IPSec, SSL, MPLS).
- IPv4, IPv6 addressing and subnetting.
- Network design: LAN, WAN, SD‑WAN.
- Firewall management: Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA.
- ACLs, NAT, IDS/IPS.
- Monitoring tools: Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana.
- TCP/IP stack, OSI model.
- Scripting/automation: PowerShell, Python, Bash.
- Load balancing and HA: F5, HAProxy, Cisco ACI.
- Optional troubleshooting tools: Wireshark, tcpdump, NetFlow.
- Automation frameworks: Ansible, Terraform.
