Senior Accountant – Remote (Armenia)

About the role

EPAM is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to strengthen its finance function for the Armenia office. The role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in Armenia while supporting a fast‑paced international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record all transactions in the 1C accounting system and ensure timely monthly close.
• Initiate payments twice weekly based on pre‑approved requests.
• Collect, review, and archive primary accounting documents in line with Armenian tax and accounting regulations.
• Perform reconciliations of vendors, banks, customers and internal management systems.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers, reconcile with IT databases and manage QR codes.
• Participate in annual fixed‑asset/inventory stock counts and related transactions.
• Assist in preparing annual financial statements, tax reports, VAT, export/import documentation and transfer‑pricing files.
• Support external audits, SOX/internal control reviews and tax inspections.
• Drive automation and digitalisation of accounting processes while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to improving internal accounting systems and workflows, and handle ad‑hoc requests.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Armenian tax legislation.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Fluency in Armenian and English (B1+ level).
