Senior Network Engineer

About the role

Inecobank is looking for a proactive Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, manage, and maintain its branch, campus, and datacenter network infrastructure. The role emphasizes security, reliability, and automation across a complex banking environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and monitor team activities, assign tasks, and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Coordinate operation, maintenance, and development of banking software systems and IT infrastructure.
• Manage technical issue and incident handling, including root‑cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Drive performance optimisation, capacity planning, and scalability initiatives.
• Oversee deployment, upgrade, and change‑management processes.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
• Coordinate security updates, vulnerability management, backup, and recovery.
• Promote automation to improve operational efficiency and collaborate with other IT and business units.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 7 years of professional experience in DevOps and/or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Fluent in English and Russian.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Windows and Linux server operating systems.
• Virtualisation (VMware, Hyper‑V or equivalent).
• Containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes or equivalent).
• Networking standards and protocols: TCP/IP, VLAN, 802.1Q, QoS, 802.1X.
• Switching technologies: VLAN segmentation, inter‑VLAN routing, STP/RSTP/MSTP, redundancy mechanisms.
• Security solutions: WAF, XDR/EDR, NAC, VPN, MFA.
• CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, Ansible.
• DNS, VPNs, firewalls.
• Monitoring and logging tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
• Agile/Scrum methodologies and cloud services.
