Senior Staff Engineer – Analog Design

About the role

You will lead the design and development of advanced analog and mixed‑signal circuits from specification through production, leveraging Synopsys’ tools and resources. The role requires close collaboration with layout, digital, validation and product teams to ensure robust, manufacturable designs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design of analog and mixed‑signal blocks, develop architectural proposals and conduct trade‑off analyses for performance, power, area and cost.
• Perform circuit simulation, verification and optimization using SPICE and Spectre, and manage tape‑out, silicon bring‑up and laboratory characterization.
• Collaborate with layout engineering to preserve design intent and ensure manufacturability.
• Establish and execute comprehensive validation plans aligned with product requirements.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and project leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in analog and mixed‑signal IC design.
• Proven ability to identify design risks early, communicate technical trade‑offs and drive cross‑functional collaboration.
• Hands‑on experience with silicon debug, laboratory measurements and process methodology improvements.

Required skills

• Expertise in transistor‑level circuit design and analysis.
• Proficiency with SPICE and Spectre simulation tools.
• Practical experience in silicon bring‑up, debug and characterization.
• Knowledge of high‑speed interfaces, data converters, voltage regulators, power‑management circuits or sensors.
• Familiarity with deep sub‑micron CMOS process technologies.
