Steward – Food & Beverage Operations

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Steward to join our Food & Beverage team at Marriott International in Yerevan. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, supporting the smooth operation of our dining services.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as dishwashers, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.
• Wash, disinfect, and organize kitchen tools, knives, tables, and equipment using proper chemicals.
• Receive deliveries, store perishables correctly, rotate stock, and ensure clean wares are stored appropriately.
• Use the 3‑compartment sink for detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing dishes; inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items.
• Break down dirty bus tubs, empty trashcans, and maintain dumpster areas.
• Clean and mop all assigned department areas, dispose of glass and recyclables properly.
• Follow all company safety, security, and quality policies; report hazards or incidents to management.

Required profile

• No high school diploma or GED required.
• No prior related work experience necessary.
• No supervisory experience or specific licenses needed.

Required skills

• Ability to operate standard kitchen cleaning equipment.
• Physical capability to lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Endurance to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and perform overhead or low‑level tasks.
