Technical Operations Engineer – Managed Services

About the role

KX is looking for a Technical Operations Engineer to join its Managed Services team. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation and support of the OneTick platform, working closely with clients to ensure reliable data management and analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor the health and performance of OneTick across cloud environments and client data centres.
• Follow runbooks to troubleshoot and resolve data‑delivery and server‑application issues.
• Enhance monitoring coverage for OneTick and related processes.
• Perform regular system maintenance and updates to sustain optimal performance.
• Communicate critical issues and resolutions to clients and vendors in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with internal development and support teams to escalate and resolve complex problems.
• Assist in the implementation and deployment of new features and platform enhancements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a technical operations or support role.
• Hands‑on experience troubleshooting server applications and data‑delivery issues.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Availability to work night shifts as required.
• High sense of accountability, reliability and ability to work independently or within a fast‑paced team.
• Clear verbal and written communication in English with a customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Linux proficiency – bash commands and scripting.
• Basic Python scripting.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Nagios or Prometheus (preferred).
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure (preferred).
