Accountant and Audit Assistant

About the role

SKS Consulting CJSC is a professional advisory firm providing internal audit services, helping organisations strengthen governance, risk management and internal control systems. It is looking for an Accountant and Audit Assistant to process accounting transactions, maintain records and support audit engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Prepare accounting documents, banking transaction records and supporting documentation.
• Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets and inventory records.
• Calculate monthly payroll and prepare tax and statutory filings.
• Support audit engagements by collecting and reviewing documents, performing basic testing and preparing working papers.
• Assist in assessing internal controls, identifying risks and documenting audit findings.
• Support accountants, auditors and consultants on client projects and contribute to new services and process improvements.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of English and Russian.
• High level of responsibility, initiative and ability to meet deadlines; able to manage several tasks and projects at once.
• Progress toward or possession of professional certifications such as CIA or ACCA is preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of RA tax and accounting legislation.
• ArmSoft and MS Office (Excel, Word).
