Senior Accountant - Assets Accounting

About the role

SoftConstruct is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its Assets Accounting Department. The role oversees accounting operations, ensures accurate financial reporting in line with IFRS and RA legislation, manages tax obligations, strengthens internal controls and supports financial planning, reporting and audit processes.

Key responsibilities

• Record complex daily financial transactions in strict compliance with IFRS and local regulations
• Review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for executive-level accuracy
• Drive month-end and year-end closing and implement strategies to shorten closing cycles
• Prepare and file federal, state and local tax returns, including VAT and income tax, with zero penalties
• Evaluate and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies to protect company assets
• Supervise accounts receivable and payable, optimising cash flow and maintaining strong vendor relationships
• Develop revenue projections and expenditure forecasts, monitor budgets and plan fiscally
• Perform variance analysis and present risk assessments to management
• Act as the main contact for internal and external audits, resolving complex findings
• Lead the development and automation of accounting systems and procedures
• Carry out other strategic duties assigned by the immediate supervisor

Required profile

• 5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, accounting or auditing
• Degree in economics, business, finance, law or similar
• Strong knowledge of the RA Tax Code and Labor Code
• Fluent in Armenian and English
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail and good communication and leadership skills
