Accountant – Financial Reporting & Tax Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join SoftConstruct’s finance team. You will be responsible for managing daily transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and Armenian tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions in line with IFRS and local regulations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Prepare and file federal, state and local tax returns, including VAT and income tax.
• Maintain internal controls and accounting policies for all documentation.
• Oversee accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely invoicing and vendor payments.
• Develop revenue projections, forecast expenditures and assist with budget monitoring.
• Conduct variance analysis and highlight financial risks for management review.
• Provide documentation and resolve findings for internal and external audits.
• Contribute to the design and automation of new accounting systems and procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting or auditing.
• Experience in a multinational or large corporate finance environment is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Fluency in Armenian and English.
• Strong knowledge of the Armenian Tax Code and Labour Code.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
