Core Java Developer - Trading Platform

About the role

We are looking for a self‑directed Core Java Developer to join our real‑time, low‑latency trading platform team. You will work on critical infrastructure that processes market data, manages orders and connects to exchanges, while continuously improving performance and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain core components of the trading platform, including market data handling, order management, exchange connectivity and execution infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across a globally distributed, low‑latency environment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement new functionality and optimise existing systems.
• Develop and support Java and C++ trading systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience building low‑latency systems in a front‑office trading environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong understanding of network programming (TCP/UDP) and binary protocols.
• Proficiency with Unix/Linux development and multithreaded, lock‑free programming.
• Familiarity with at least one of the following: market data, order management systems, FIX, algorithmic trading, smart order routing, DMA or ITCH.
