Head of Internal Audit

About the role

SoftConstruct is looking for a dynamic leader to head its Internal Audit function. You will oversee risk assessment, audit planning, and ensure compliance across financial and operational processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the organization’s ongoing audit operations, including risk assessment and development of audit implementation plans.
• Conduct financial and operational audits by reviewing accounting records, invoices, contracts, procedures and related documentation.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of current financial and internal control systems, identify fraud‑prevention opportunities and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Coordinate and document information obtained during audit inspections and investigations.
• Prepare and present comprehensive internal audit reports that pinpoint root causes, propose practical solutions and offer actionable recommendations.
• Inform management promptly about significant internal‑control risks and their potential impact.
• Oversee follow‑up actions to address identified deficiencies and improve processes.
• Participate in staff development, knowledge‑sharing initiatives and other departmental activities.

Required profile

• Higher education in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of audit or finance experience, including managerial responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted auditing standards, risk‑assessment methodologies and accounting principles.
• Excellent understanding of applicable tax and labor legislation.
• Fluent in Armenian; good written and verbal English and Russian.
• High organizational skills, responsibility and effective time‑management.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with accounting software such as ArmSoft.
