Lead Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Lead Accountant to head a team of accountants and manage accounting operations for multiple companies across various industries. The role requires strong accounting expertise, leadership abilities, and deep knowledge of Armenian tax legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and support a team of accountants.
• Oversee full‑cycle accounting for multiple companies, including general ledger, AP/AR, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with Armenian tax legislation, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review tax declarations, financial statements, and statutory reports.
• Oversee payroll accounting and related tax calculations.
• Coordinate month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Review accounting records, identify discrepancies, and improve procedures.
• Communicate with clients, tax authorities, and auditors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional accounting experience.
• Proven senior accounting or team‑leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of Armenian tax legislation and accounting regulations.
• Experience managing accounting for multiple companies across different industries.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
