M&A Analyst – Mobile App Acquisitions

About the role

BlueThrone is seeking an M&A Analyst to lead the end‑to‑end acquisition process for mobile applications and complementary SaaS businesses. You will work directly with founders, build rigorous financial models, and shape the investment thesis that drives capital deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Source and evaluate mobile app and SaaS acquisition targets.
• Build subscription cohort, ad‑monetized, ROAS‑based, and SaaS metrics financial models from scratch.
• Analyze KPIs such as LTV, CAC, retention, churn, and ARPU to assess value and risk.
• Prepare and present investment committee materials in partnership with the Chief Investment Officer.
• Conduct introductory and deep‑dive meetings with founders, maintaining a data‑driven, empathetic approach.
• Manage deal timelines, coordinate diligence work streams, and ensure smooth hand‑off to operating teams.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, growth, and monetization teams to refine evaluation criteria.

Required profile

• Proven ability to construct complex financial models for subscription, ad‑based, and SaaS revenue streams.
• Experience evaluating acquisition targets, interpreting key performance metrics, and forming independent valuation opinions.
• Comfort presenting investment theses to senior leadership and, eventually, the Investment Committee.
• Strong analytical mindset with curiosity and empathy when engaging founders.
• Ability to manage multiple deal processes simultaneously and drive them to completion.
