Network & Information Security Specialist

About the role

Polixis is looking for a Network & Information Security Specialist to join its Yerevan R&D hub. The role supports the security, reliability and continuous improvement of the company’s IT infrastructure and network environment, working closely with internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor network and system activity, identify security risks and support incident response.
• Investigate, document and resolve security incidents.
• Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, endpoint protection, and access controls.
• Manage user access, permissions and security configurations across on‑premise and cloud environments.
• Maintain security monitoring tools, perform log analysis and assist in security event investigations.
• Support vulnerability management: identify, track and help remediate security issues.
• Assist with security assessments and implement cybersecurity best practices.
• Integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines, conduct vulnerability scanning and basic security testing.
• Maintain and improve network security policies, procedures and technical documentation.
• Configure and troubleshoot network equipment to ensure stable connectivity.
• Set up and maintain employee workstations, hardware, software and peripherals.
• Provide technical support and contribute to IT infrastructure improvements.
• Document systems, configurations and security processes accurately.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in network administration, system administration or information security.
• Hands‑on experience with network and system administration and a strong interest in cybersecurity.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and follow security best practices.
