Senior International Accounting Specialist

About the role

The Senior International Accounting Specialist will lead daily accounting operations, ensure the accuracy of financial records and support the preparation of financial statements. This position is key to maintaining compliance with IFRS and internal policies while providing analytical insights to management.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and review journal entries for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual close processes.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal accounting policies.
• Analyze financial data, investigate discrepancies and variances.
• Support external and internal audit activities.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
• Improve accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide accurate financial information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (Master’s or CPA/ACCA a plus).
• 4–6+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• High attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks and work both independently and in a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with tax regulations, process improvement and automation.
• Leadership or mentoring experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience in IFRS reporting.
