Business/System Analyst (Customer Data & Core Banking Operations)

About the role

We are expanding the OPS Tech Customer Data stream and need a Business/System Analyst to strengthen operational processes across customer data, compliance and core‑banking functions. You will work closely with operations teams to translate business needs into reliable, scalable solutions that meet regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Translate operational and business requirements into product specifications such as mock‑ups, user stories, process flows and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with operations teams to understand daily work and design efficient, compliant processes.
• Design operational interfaces and the underlying workflows that support them.
• Ensure processes meet regulatory requirements and fit existing customer and operational journeys.
• Connect processes to underlying systems, assess integration capabilities (APIs, queues, data exchange) and define required changes.
• Support migration and extension of existing functionality on the new platform.
• Hand over specifications to development, support testing, releases, acceptance and stakeholder demos.
• Investigate operational issues using logs and system data.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as a business or system analyst in banking or financial services.
• Hands‑on experience designing operational interfaces, complex objects and workflows.
• Proven ability to work with operations teams and embed new processes into existing journeys.
• Experience designing compliant processes in financial services.
• Understanding of integrations: APIs, queues and data exchange.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively across business, operations and technology teams.
• English proficiency at B2 level.
• Relevant experience in at least one area: customer/contact management, master‑data systems (CRM/MDM), KYC/AML processes, or core banking operations/payments, accounts, transactions, GL exposure.
