Chemical Engineer – Epoxy Materials Testing

About the role

The Chemical Engineer at Rydena works full‑time on‑site, conducting thermal, physical and rheological testing of epoxy matrices and thermosetting polymers. You will manage raw material quality control, prepare specimens, and help standardise laboratory SOPs to support R&D and manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform thermal analysis using DSC and DMA to determine degree of cure, glass transition temperature and viscoelastic properties.
• Carry out rheological testing with rotational viscometers or rheometers, measuring dynamic viscosity, gel time and curing profiles.
• Prepare resin specimens by casting blocks or pressing thin films, ensuring defect‑free samples.
• Conduct incoming raw‑material verification, including titration for epoxy equivalent weight and volatile content.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Polymer Materials Science or related field.
• Proficiency in Armenian and Russian.
• Analytical mindset with strict adherence to health and safety regulations.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with DSC, DMA and rheometers/viscometers.
• Laboratory wet‑chemistry techniques such as titration and extraction.
• Data analysis and curve‑interpretation software for thermal and rheological results.
• Specimen preparation for polymer matrices and documentation of test results.
