General Counsel – Global Purchasing Contracts

About the role

We are seeking a legal professional to lead contract management and negotiation for global purchasing activities. The role partners with suppliers, business stakeholders and internal legal teams to draft, negotiate and oversee purchasing agreements while mitigating commercial and legal risks.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate purchasing agreements and transaction documents in line with policies and legal requirements.
• Serve as Contracts Lead on less‑complex international and multi‑business‑unit projects, progressing to strategic framework contracts.
• Identify, assess and escalate legal, commercial and financial risks associated with contracts.
• Guide business stakeholders through the contract approval process and obtain required approvals.
• Collaborate with suppliers, Legal, Risk Management, Finance and Supply Chain to ensure efficient negotiations and contract execution.
• Maintain and improve contract templates, standard purchasing terms and conditions, and utilize Oracle CLM and DocuSign CLM systems.

Required profile

• Law degree with a current license to practice where applicable.
• Minimum four years of experience in a contracts‑related role.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; additional languages a plus.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a solution‑oriented approach.

Required skills

• Oracle Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform.
• DocuSign CLM platform.
• Microsoft Office applications (intermediate proficiency).
